The people aboard the outpost are not a loot vendor list. Official material describes survivors with secrets, agendas and conflicting versions of the same disaster. Four names can be verified from screenshots. We are not going to fill in the missing ten with invented biographies.

Dialogue and trust are part of the survival loop

The official feature list says conversations are as important as finding another weapon. The itch.io page confirms branching dialogue. GOG calls it a “robust dialogue system.” The PlayStation.Blog says the survivors do not tell the same story.

A hands-on preview describes a choice where an injured NPC could be given a code to get through a door, or the wrong one. That is preview-level evidence, not a final quest map. The useful preparation is mental: listen, compare accounts and do not assume the first friendly voice is trustworthy.

The missing roster

  • Full list of the over-a-dozen NPCs
  • Their jobs, factions and relationship to Excavation Team Delta
  • Which conversations are optional or mutually exclusive
  • Whether choices change the ending or only local events
  • Whether any NPC can die permanently
  • The identity or purpose of the mysterious drone
  • What “the old song” is and how it affects the crew

The Von Neumann Outpost file follows the rest of the story, and the demo guide explains how to approach the first conversations.
